I like how the Resolution to honor the VOLUNTEER firefighters who have been on for 35 years is there. Oh wait, its not! What a real slimy move by the mayor. I have never been so disgusted by my own town's council until now.

Resolution No. 2012-183 – Resolution approving a permit fee waiver to the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education for installation of a generator. So can everyone in town get a permit fee waiver if they want to install a generator now?

Is this meeting going to be on TV34? I would hope they are going to have a discussion on this resolution from the agenda. What are these residential units going to look like? Are they age restricted? How many are there going to be? Where is the access road going to be? Did I miss a discussion that already happened? This resolution says its to authorize the execution of the agreement. Is this being rushed through before the new council takes over? I hope the Patch editor is reading this and can find out these answers. 3.Resolution No. 2012-188 – Resolution authorizing the execution of a Redevelopment Agreement between the Township of Scotch Plains and NJ Golf Partners LLC relative to the residential units to be built on a portion of the Shackamaxon Golf & Country Club property.

Hi Old timer, They actually removed this from the agenda per the discussion they had in an executive session. They decided to hold off on this until January during Mr. Glover's term. According to the NJ Golf Partners representative, they do already have an agreement in place, it is just a matter of getting a move on it.

I apologize for not seeing your comment about it being televised sooner. The 8p.m. meeting was on TV-34, but the part where the NJ Golf Partners representative spoke was during the 7 p.m. meeting. Following the first meeting they left since they were no longer on the agenda. I will be writing the additional meeting stories tomorrow.

Reducing the speed limit on Terrill and raising the fee for dog licenses? Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Republicans.
