Bratti Sworn Back into Office

The councilman will serve another year.

Scotch Plains Councilman Dominick Bratti was officially reinstated into his seat on the township council Tuesday night.

Bratti, a Republican, will serve another year in the position before it is up for election again. He is filling a space on the council that was left open by Nancy Malool when she was elected mayor.

"It truly is an honor and humbling experience to be here," Bratti said after giving his oath of office to Township Clerk Barbara Riepe. "Those are important shoes to fill. I'm happy to sit up here with (Mayor Malool) and the rest of the council and to be doing this work."
