Brief: Scotch Plains Council to Hold Special Meeting Wednesday on Shared Services
The mayor and council will meet at 5 p.m. in the Municipal Building courtroom.
The Scotch Plains Mayor and Township Council will convene a special meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday to discuss shared services, according to a public notice distributed by the township clerk's office. The meeting is in follow-up to the shared services forum that was held March 10, and discussion will likely focus on the proposals put forth in the shared services feasibility study prepared by Jersey Professional Management, which recommends creating joint police and public works departments with Fanwood.
After the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call, the meeting will go into closed, executive session so that the mayor and council may discuss a personnel matter, then reopen to the public to take-up shared services, according to the meeting agenda. To view the agenda, click the PDF thumbnail at right.
