Fanwood: About 250 Homes Still Dark

The following message was distributed by Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr at 9:27 a.m. Thursday.

Dial 908-322-7250 for a recorded message on the latest Fanwood power update. You may also leave a message about any public works issues. Power remains out for about 250 Fanwood residents.  PSE&G continues working around the clock to restore power. Customers may call PSE&G's customer service line for updates: 1-800-436-PSEG.

The and again invite the public to use their facilities to charge their devices and use the refrigerator or stove. The squad building, at 123 Watson Road, behind the municipal complex, will be open TODAY, Thursday, Sept. 1, from 4pm-7pm. Residents may also access the internet through the squad's computer or wi-fi network. Please park on Watson Road or in the small lot across from the Carriage House Park. The Presbyterian Church, at Martine and Marian Avenues, will be open TODAY, Thursday, Sept. 1, from 11am-1pm and 5pm-7pm. Use the Thrift Shop entrance on Marian Avenue.

Call 911 for all emergencies. Please do NOT call 911 to ask about the power because the police don't have that information.
