Fanwood: PSE&G Restoring Power, Halloween Parade Still On

The borough sent the following update on Oct. 31.

The following press release was distributed via email at 8:30 a.m. Monday:

  • The Martine Avenue bridge has been reopened.
  • Power to more homes has been restored. PSE&G continues working around the clock, utilizing crews brought in from others states in an effort to get power back on to homes still without. We will continue to pass on their updates to you as we get them.
  • The Halloween Parade and costume contest are still scheduled to go on starting this evening at 5:30 p.m. at the Fanwood Memorial Library. More info here. We urge trick-or-treaters going door-to-door to use extreme caution. Stay away from all downed tree limbs and wires. Stay away from all areas that are blocked off by caution tape or cones.
  • Do not approach any downed wires! Period.
  • Call 911 for emergencies.
