It's Time: Debate for the Scotch Plains Township Council Set For Oct. 11

The candidates will face-off in a Patch-sponsored debate Monday night.

For the first time in Scotch Plains history, the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Patch will host a debate of the candidates running for Scotch Plains Township Council. The debate stars at 7:30 p.m. at the Scotch Plains Municipal Building. We need your help to make it a success.

Half of the questions will come from Patch. But the other half will come from you: our readers and neighbors. You can submit your questions in-person at the debate, or you can email your questions to me – AlanN@patch.com – anytime between now and Monday. All the questions will be vetted by the New Jersey League of Women Voters, which is moderating the debate.

If you can't attend, tune in live on Comcast 34, Verizon 22, or Patch's online stream.

Only three of the eight candidates who are seeking office will become your representatives. On Monday night, ask them the questions you want answered.
