Letter: SP to Host Open House on FEMA Assistance

The following message was distributed via email by Scotch Plains Mayor Nancy Malool on Tuesday morning.

Scotch Plains Mayor Nancy Malool and the Scotch Plains Office of Emergency Management are pleased to announce an open-house will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, to help residents who have questions about disaster assistance related to Hurricane Irene. A representative from FEMA’s Individual Assistance branch will be available to discuss types of assistance, including direct financial grants, low-interest loans, charitable contributions from voluntary agencies, and/or other resources that will help residents who are recovering from the disaster.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber/Courtroom in the Scotch Plains Municipal Building and is open to all residents of Scotch Plains and Fanwood.
