NJ Jewish News: Settlement Reached in LeStrange's Lawsuit Against Former Mayor

The suit stemmed from comments made in 2006.

Former Scotch Plains Council Democratic candidate Neal LeStrange has reached a $10,000 settlement in his defamation suit against former Scotch Plains Mayor Martin Marks.

In his suit, LeStrange accused Marks of making comments about him during the 2006 campaign that implied he was anti-semitic and racist. Marks maintained at the time that the suit was a political attempt to sway the election.
