Police Ask Public for Help in Emergency Preparedness

A municipal survey seeks to discover the special needs of senior and disabled residents before an emergency strikes.

The Fanwood Police Department is launching a new effort to help them be better prepared to help senior citizens and disabled residents during emergencies.

The department is asking those potentially in need of assistance or their families, friends or caretakers to fill out a survey. Fanwood residents are being encouraged via the borough website to fill out and submit forms for anyone they know who lives  in the municipality and might need assistance.

All information will be kept confidential, police said.

Those interested in cooperating are encouraged to download the survey form, fill it out and return it to Fanwood Police.
