Scotch Plains Christmas Tree Pickup Starts Today

Ornaments and other decorations must be taken off.

If you've still got a live Christmas tree in your house, today's the day to finally part ways.

The Scotch Plains Public Works Department is expected to start picking up Christmas trees today. The township instructs residents to place the trees at the curb without bags, ornaments, tinsel, wreathes, or branches.

If you wish to dispose of the tree yourself, the township directs you to drop it off at the Department of Public Property yard on Plainfield Avenue anytime before January 30.
