Scotch Plains Council Approves 2010 Municipal Budget

Council members vote 4-1 to pass the $22.9 million measure Tuesday night.

Three weeks after delays at the state level forced the Scotch Plains Township Council to postpone its vote on the 2010 Municipal Budget, the council approved the plan Tuesday night. The budget calls for about $22.9 million in expenditures, revenue of about $20.6 million and an appropriation of about $2.3 million from the township's fund balance.

The measure passed 4-1, with council member Kevin Glover as the lone dissenting vote.
