Scotch Plains Democratic Committee to Present Candidates to Township Council

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Democratic Committee.


The Scotch Plains Democratic Committee has nominated Louis Beckerman, Philip Wiener and John Thompson as candidates to replace Kevin Glover on the Township Council.

Mr. Beckerman is the current Chairman of the Committee. Mr. Wiener is the Treasurer and Mr. Thompson is a Committee member.

Upon Councilman Glover’s resignation on January 1, 2013, at which time he will be sworn-in as Mayor, the names of Beckerman, Wiener and Thompson will be presented to the Township Clerk. The Township Council will consider the three candidates and may vote on one to replace Mr. Glover at a later Council meeting.
