SPTV Up and Running Again in Scotch Plains
The station, which has been without a manager since January, previously suffered from a loud buzz that drowned out all sound.
At Tuesday's Scotch Plains council meeting, Mayor Kevin Glover pointed out a new videographer in the back of the room and announced that Scotch Plains TV is now back up and running.
The station, which has been without a manager since January, previously suffered from a loud buzz that drowned out all sound.
The decision to hire a new manager was made several months ago, and the council awarded a $55,000 contract to Duke Multimedia Productions in August.
"People couldn't hear a word of what was being said," said Mayor Kevin Glover at the meeting where the council voted to request proposals for a manager. "Whether they agreed with you or with me was irrelevant. They couldn't hear it."
Scotch Plains TV appears on both Comcast cable channel 34 and Verizon FiOS channel 22.
