This Week Ahead: Week of Monday, February 6

On Monday, Patch highlights the happenings around Scotch Plains and Fanwood.

, an emerging artist who began her journey in 2010 without any formal training, will be on display at the from Sunday, February 5 until Friday, March 2. Lehman’s “Emerge and See” exhibit showcases abstract expressionistic paintings and is Lehman’s first solo show. Library hours are Monday and Thursday, 9 am to 9 pm; Tuesday and Friday, 9 am to 5 pm; Wednesday 9 am to 8 pm; Saturday 9 am to 5pm and Sunday 12 noon to 4 pm.

On Thursday, February 9, at 8 p.m., the Board of Education will hold a special meeting to discuss the potential changes to election law. There will be time allotted for public comment and if the Board reaches the conclusion to move the election to November, they will vote that night and pass a resolution. On Wednesday, February 8, at 7:30 p.m., the Choral Department will presents a special Cabaret Night with choral performances from the best of Broadway and The Great American Song Book in the Maya Ungar Auditorium. in true cabaret fashion, a number of soloists will perform full songs from a variety of Broadway shows.

This week, members of the SPF Community will have the opportunity toand see a class in action. This is a great opportunity for parents of soon to be middle schoolers to get to know the ins and outs of Park and Terrill. Light refreshments will be provided by the PTA after the tour. All are welcome to attend the Valentine’s Day Dance at in Scotch Plains on Saturday, February 11, at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 and includes snacks and soft drinks. Feel free to BYOB but you must be 21 or older to do so.

will hold their annual Winter Concert on Monday, February 6, at 7:30 p.m. Terrill Middle School will host a Valentine’s Social for 5th and 6th graders on Friday, February 10, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
