Natural Dancers and Those with Two Left Feet Become Family

Anything Goes features a huge 7.5 minute tap break! Mondays in REP are for learning choreography.

Sure, dancing is something that can be taught. With enough time and an amazing choreographer, anyone can be a dancer! Despite this, there are some people who can dance with natural born talent and others who have two left feet.

In REP, Mondays are for choreography and the time to better acquaint ourselves with the complicating art of dancing. Anything Goes is a special type of show that features a 7 and a half minute tap break. Yup. That’s right. 7 and a half minutes of continuous tapping. Oh! And we get to sing on top of that! All part of the REP experience.

While each of these rehearsals are incredibly demanding and seem just a little too long, they give us an amazing time to bond as a company. It’s a time for these naturally talented dancers to help those with their two left feet. They have the opportunity to work together and create a friendship.

Each and everyone of us wants this show to be the best it can be by the time March comes around. We all want to help each other and encourage one another to do our best and show off our best. We are a family. A family of dancers and non-dancers, but a family nonetheless that will support each other the entire way.
