175 Graduate from Union Catholic High School

Gabrielle Aquino of Rahway was named Valedictorian and Kimberly Esguerra of Union was named Salutatorian.

On June 2, 175 seniors stood proudly in their white and blue gowns as they graduated from Union Catholic High School.

The Class of 2012 received a total of $18,019,803 in college scholarships and awards.

Gabrielle Aquino of Rahway was named Valedictorian and Kimberly Esguerra of Union was named Salutatorian. Union Catholic seniors also attended the Baccalaureate Liturgy on Friday, June 1, where Reverend Joseph Mancini celebrated mass.

The guest speaker, UC alum Tiffany Wilson, class of 1990, congratulated seniors for all that theyalready have and will accomplish, and urged them to live lives of service.

Wilson spoke of her own life of service as an Assistant Prosecutor in Union County, Board Chair of the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey Council, and member of the Union Catholic SchoolConsultative Board.

Wilson told seniors to “stay true to your values, look beyond yourself tothe world around you and ask how you can help.”

Valedictorian Gabrielle Aquino echoed these sentiments in her speech to the graduating class.

“Don’t ever give up on a life you can be proud of, and try to make an impact on the world and a name for yourself, always staying thankful forthe blessings you have received,” Aquino expressed.
