Scotch Plains Police Capt. Brian Donnelly tells Patch the threat was an anonymous note left in a common area of the school that stated a bomb would go off in a certain time frame.

"Scotch Plains and Fanwood police secured the area, and the Union County Sheriff's Office and State Police also were on the scene," Donnelly told Patch. "The building was systematically searched with bomb-sniffing dogs and we found no evidence of a bomb or any other device. Everyone was safely evacuated. At no time was anyone in danger."
