Free Parent-Student College Workshop at Scotch Plains Public Library
High school students and their families are invited to attend a workshop geared to their needs, on Thursday, March 24th at 7:30 P.M. at the Scotch Plains Public Library. This interactive seminar, "The Angular Student: How to Use Your Strengths to stand Out in the College Admissions Process," will be led by Lisa Bleich. Bleich asserts, “The college admissions process has become increasingly competitive; however students who understand their strengths and focus on finding the best “fit” will have a clear advantage in the admission process.”
Lisa Bleich, President of College Bound Mentor LLC, is an experienced educator, marketing consultant, and public speaker. She has successfully worked with hundreds of students on the college admissions process to help them uncover their strengths and weaknesses and develop a personal plan for success. She has written for several blogs including the New York Times Local College Corner, & Hundreds of Heads Newsletter. She currently writes the CB Mentor College Visit Blog profiling college visits across the country. She is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
