In anticipation of Holy Week and Easter, the parishes of Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Bartholomew the Apostle of Scotch Plains will co-host a Family Retreat on Saturday, March 27 from 9 a.m. - noon. The retreat, featuring prayer and activities designed to nurture the faith of both parent and child, will be held in IHM's Nazareth Center Parish Hall, located behind the Main Church at 1571 South Martine Ave. in Scotch Plains.
In recognizing the need to support younger families in a faith-building process, the program has been put together with a special emphasis on children 10 years of age or younger as well as their parents. All are welcome. There will be a supervised play area for children under four years of age to encourage the entire family to attend.
Admission is free and there is ample parking onsite. Those wishing to attend are asked to all Jeanne Fox of IHM at 908-889-2100 or e-mail ihmreled@aol.com on or before March 15.
