"Our Cities, Ourselves" Series of Programs - Scotch Plains Library

The Scotch Plains Public Library continues its "Our Cities, Ourselves" series of programs on Thursday, May 28, 2011 at 7:00 pm, when John Grady offers "An Armchair Tour of Plainfield."  Grady, past chairman of the Plainfield Preservation Commission will speak about the grand Victorians and Queen Anne structures that continue to lure home buyers to the city.  A longtme Plainfield resident, Grady worked for many years restoring his 1875 vintage home there.  He now resides in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he serves as an interpreter for the Williamsburg Foundation.

This program was made possible by the generosity of the Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library and  a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.  Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations in this program, do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities or the New Jersey Council for the Humanities.
