The Goddard School attempts to set record for largest "Simon Says" game.

The Goddard School will host "The Goddard School Block Party" Sept. 19-23, including an attempt to set a world record for the largest game of "Simon Says" on Friday, September 23.

This year the Block Party will also highlight the importance of fitness and nutrition in children’s lives. In addition to developing healthy minds, it's at the core of school's FLEX™ Learning Program aimed at instilling lifelong healthy lifestyle habits.

As a leader in the industry, Goddard Schools are in the process of applying to the "Let’s Move" childcare initiative. In June 2011, First Lady Michelle Obama introduced the childcare phase of "Let’s Move" by encouraging childcare facilities to improve healthy eating and increase physical activity.

During this event full of playful learning, children and families have the chance to participate in a number of fun-filled, hands-on activities that demonstrate the power of play for learning. This event will also educate children, parents and the community about healthy eating and fitness habits.

In conjunction with Guinness World Records™, Goddard Schools all across the United States will be participating in a record-breaking game of Simon Says. Goddard Schools nationwide will work together to break the record for the "Largest Game of Simon Says (Multiple Venues)." The festivities will also feature a rousing rendition of The Goddard School Play Along Song. Fanwood's Mayor Mahr will be attending the event to witness our participation in the world record setting event. The community is invited to participate in Simon Says and all of the entertainment and activities.
