Happy 50th, Union Catholic! Anniversary Events, April 26-29
The high school will celebrate its big 5-0 with a wine and cheese reception, family fun day, mass and brunch, and an anniversary dinner at Shackamaxon Country Club.

Union Catholic High School will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary “Golden Weekend” from Friday, April 26 to Monday, April 29. There are a number of exciting events that are planned.
The Wine and Cheese Reception is Friday, April 26 from 7-10:00pm. The cost is $20 per person and guests must be at least 21 years old with valid photo ID. Attire is business casual and the price includes wine, beer, water, soda, cheese, and other light appetizers. Union Catholic memorabilia of the past and present will be on display and building tours will be available from 6:30-7:30pm. Limited tickets will be available at the door; call (908) 889-1600 ext. 351 for availability.

There will be a free, rain-or-shine Family Field and Fun Day on Saturday, April 27 from 11:00am-3:00pm at UC. The event will include games, a photo booth, a bouncy house, a Rita’s Italian Ice stand, face painting, and more! 50th Anniversary apparel and the 50th Anniversary cookbook will be available for purchase. All are welcome and RSVP’s are not necessary.

The 50th Anniversary mass and brunch will be held on the UC Campus on Sunday, April 28. Mass begins at 11:00am and the brunch begins at 12:00pm. The cost is $5 per person and $25 per family and includes a continental breakfast. Present at the brunch will be Michael Rosenbloom, author of When Stars Were in Reach: The Who at Union Catholic High School, who will be selling and signing copies of his book. The book tells the true story of a group of high school students who dreamt big and booked rock legends The Who to play at UC on November 29, 1967, launching UC into its rock era days of the late 60’s and early 70’s. Union Catholic is hosting a 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Saturday evening, April 27 at Shackamaxon Country Club and a Golf Classic Outing, also at Shackamaxon, on Monday, April 29.
