Football season means color guard, cheering and, of course, marching bands. Do you miss the excitement of listening to bands playing to a drum cadence, watching intricate dance moves highlighted by a rainbow of choreographed flags, all while eating a hotdog?Come for a unique evening at Scotch Plains Fanwood High School football stadium on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and be part of the 15th Annual Marching Band Festival "Under the Lights."
More than a dozen area high school bands will be performing classic and contemporary music in full costume, and competing for the highest score within their group. The day will culminate with a trophy ceremony.
The concession stand will be open all evening selling hotdogs, drinks and ice cream. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
