SPFHS Students Host PJ Drive

The following press release was distributed Nov. 1.

The Students Concerned for the Needy (SCN) Service Group from are once again collecting new pajamas on behalf of  “The Pajama Program”, a 501(c)3 charity that provides warm pajamas to children in need.  Collected pajamas will be distributed to local organizations and shelters that care for homeless and vulnerable children within Union County. 

Community members and groups may donate new pajamas for a child, boy or girl, ages infant through age 17.  Please keep all tags on PJs. SCN’s PJ Drive runs through Monday, Nov. 7.  Coldwell Banker Agents will once again collect PJs to help SCN increase its PJ totals by simultaneously running a drive in the Westfield East Office.

Your generous donation of a pair of new pajamas will help to create a warm and nurturing bedtime environment for youngsters living under difficult circumstances. While the PJ Drive is in progress, PJs may be brought to the Athletic Office at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, located in the front of the building at 667 Westfield Road, Scotch Plains, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SCN wishes to thank the community, in advance, for helping it help the children. Your donation will provide warm pajamas on those cold fall and winter nights assuring that fewer children in Union County go to bed cold at bedtime this year.
