In honor of National Crime Victim’s Rights Week, all are invited to join the Union County Prosecutor’s Office’s Office of Victim/Witness Advocacy in recognizing and bringing honor to Victims of Crime by wearing the color blue (or a blue ribbon) on Tuesday, April 24.
Celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 27 with a presentation from Park Middle School’s Environmental Club at 4 p.m. at the Carriage House Park in Fanwood. This event is hosted by the The Fanwood Shade Tree Commission and will include a free tree for all who attend.

On Saturday, April 28 beginning at 8:30 a.m., The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA together with the Scotch Plains-Fanwood PTA Council will join forces to host a . This event will start and end at the Y located at 1340 Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains. Proceeds from this event will benefit the United for a Cause Scholarship Fund for students planning to pursue a degree in a health related field. On Saturday, April 28th, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is celebrating with a free community event for kids and families. The event is open to the public and will take place at their 1340 Martine Avenue, Scotch Plains location from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.The FSPY will offer an open swim, obstacle courses, sports samplers, face painting, carnival games, family games, relay races, arts and crafts, Camp Open House, healthy treats and more.
