'Tribute to Jersey Shore' Field Day a Hit at Brunner Elementary

Students participated in events including the 'Bradley Beach Ball Toss,' the 'Seaside Sand Sprint,' and the 'Point Pleasant Pull.'

Howard B. Brunner Elementary School in Scotch Plains held their annual Field Day on school grounds last Friday.

The theme was "a Tribute to the Jersey Shore!" and had events like the "Bradley Beach Ball Toss," the "Seaside Sand Sprint," and the "Point Pleasant Pull."

The weather stayed true to the beach theme as well - hitting 91 degrees! Despite the heat, organizers say the students had a great time as they moved from one event to the other, laughing and cheering each other on.

"Watching all of the students enjoy themselves was wonderful to see," said Mr. Bortnick, Principal at Brunner Elementary School. "As the school year is wrapping up, I'm happy we could give them these memories!"

"There are many people to thank for their hard work and time in making the Brunner field day such a success," said class mother and field day organizer Nicol Spigai-Klein, "and giving the kids a day of fun made every effort worthwhile!"
