Union Catholic Student Scores Perfect Score on SAT Writing Exam

Senior Rosa Cuppari scores a perfect score on the writing portion of the SAT.

The following information was provided by Union Catholic High School.

Rosa Cuppari, a senior residing in Kenilworth, scored a perfect 800 on the Writing section of her college entrance SAT exam.

Rosa initially took the SAT to see how she would score without any preparation, realized what she needed to work on, and set to it.

She independently worked through the CollegeBoard prep book and received math tutoring to boost that part of her testing.

Rosa is confident that her Union Catholic education was a major contributing factor to her score.

She says, “My junior year [English] teacher, Mr. Gottilla, especially refined my writing by teaching me precision, and also helped my reading comprehension in preparing for the AP exam.”

Rosa hopes to attend Yale University in the fall and double major in International Studies and Political Science.

As the Vice President of Union Catholic’s Student Council, she is on her way! In ten years, Rosa sees herself as a successful diplomat in a foreign country (she hopes Italy) or working with the Department of State.

“Although I will still be young [in ten years], I may be an aspiring Secretary of State,” she notes.
