Newcomer's Fall Update

On the heels of one of our most successful Fall Meet and Greet events held at Forest Road Park on October 24th, the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Newcomers’ Club has exciting upcoming events for everyone in the community.  Approximately 50 women gathered to learn more about the club’s activities and interest groups and enter raffles for prizes donated by local businesses.  As part of the community outreach program of the club, donations for Project Night Night were collected.  As a club, we were able to donate more 13 bags to Raphael’s Life House, a shelter in Elizabeth for homeless pregnant women and homeless young mothers and their children.

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Newcomers' Club is a non-profit social club for residents and neighbors looking to connect with their community.  With over 100 active families, the club plans events and activities throughout the year for individuals and families during the day, evening and weekends.  There is something for everyone.  The organization is not just for those who are new in town; we invite any individual or family that is interested in connecting with neighbors and the community at large to join.

Our next big family friendly event is our Holiday Breakfast with Santa on December 14th.  On a monthly basis we have events ranging from Book Club to Crafting and Toddler Adventures.  If you are interested in learning more about our organization and joining us at these and other events please visit our website (www.spfnewcomers.com) or email us at spf_newcomers@yahoo.com for more information.
