GRAND OPENING OF NEWMARK SCHOOL
This morning, as reported on PATCH, the new Newmark School held it's Grand Opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Located at 1000 Cellar Ave. in Scotch Plains, this state of the art complex is a private, non-profit, state approved, K-8 and High School for students with learning disabilities and behavioral disorders: Autism Spectrum Disorders (Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder - PDD, etc) and other special needs such as moon and anxiety disorders, attention issues, and other developmental disabilities. In addition, it also houses The Teacher Training Institute where staff from the surrounding public schools can be sent for training in the methods used at Newmark so that they might possibly bring those back into their own district schools.
