Helping You and Your Family Live a Better Life - Fanwood/Scotch Plains YMCA

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is hosting an Open House for parents of 7th Graders within their service area of Fanwood, Scotch Plains and Clark on Saturday, September 24th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at their Martine Avenue Facility. 

There will be information available on the7th Grade Initiative which entitles 7th Graders within the service area to a FREE membership during their 7th Grade year at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA.  Participants will learn about the teen programs available.  There will be music, refreshments and more to enjoy!  Interested 7th Graders can also register and sign up at the Open House. 

The Y also offers programs for all ages.  Registration for fall programs is going on now.  Fall Session runs September 12, 2011 - November 20, 2011.  There are Youth Sport Programs, Parent/Toddler Programs, Tween and Teen Programs, Active Older Adult Programs, Gymnastic Programs, Dance Programs, Swimming for all ages and a complete Wellness Center that offers cardio and strength training machines and adult fitness classes.  There is also a new TRX Group Personal Training and a rehabilitation program for breast cancer survivors called “Moving On.”  New to the Y is ‘LIVESTRONG,” a FREE wellness initiative for cancer survivors and their support team.

A variety of membership options allows seniors, adults and children to participate in programs and classes which were designed for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
