MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Competition in Fanwood
Fanwood Little League Baseball will host a free Aquafina® Major League Baseball ® Pitch, Hit and Run Competition™ for area youth on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at LaGrande Park in Fanwood, NJ from 12 pm to 3 pm.
Pitch, Hit & Run™ is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball®. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence and core baseball skills.
Girls and boys, compete separately, through all four levels of the competition in separate divisions. The girls softball division provides a fair competition with an equal opportunity of advancement for girls.
Competitors are divided into four age divisions 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 and have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including a Team Championship to be held at Yankee Stadium and the National Finals held at the 2012 MLB All Star Game® in Kansas City, MO.
The event will also include games, food, a visit from Sparkee, the Somerset Patriots mascot and Frozen Ropes Training Center will conduct a free instructional baseball clinic beginning at 11 am. The rate date is set for April 15, 2012.
