Pitch, Hit and Run Competition

FYO Baseball will host a free Aquafina® Major League Baseball ® Pitch, Hit & Run™ Competition for area youth on Saturday April 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at in Fanwood.

Jeffrey Hammonds, a former Scotch Plains resident and Major League Baseball All-Star, will host a mini baseball clinic from 11 to 11:45 a.m. during the Pitch, Hit & Run Competition. Hammonds played 13 years of professional baseball spending his first six years with the Baltimore Orioles.  He was selected to the MLB All-Star game in 2000 when he played for the Colorado Rockies.

Pitch, Hit & Run™ is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball ®.  This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills.
