Tryouts for Piranhas Swim Team - Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA

The Fanwood–Scotch Plains YMCA is holding tryouts for their Piranhas Swim Team on Wednesday, July 11 from 5:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. and Saturday, July 14 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at the Y facility at 1340 Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains.

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Piranhas, under Head Coach Chris Karelus, have cemented their position as one of the top teams in the state, competing and winning at the local, state and national level.   The team is comprised of three girls’ teams and two boys’ teams.  The Piranhas have a talented coaching staff with a proven record of developing swimmers of all age levels and skill levels.  Practices are scheduled three to six times a week dependent on age and skill level.  Knowledge of four competitive strokes is a prerequisite for ages 9 and up. 

Interested swimmers are asked to register for one of the tryout dates above at the Member Service Desk of the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA located at 1340 Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains.
