Y's Vacation Day Full Day of Fun Week

Busy parents can work, run errands, shop, or just take time to relax while their children in K-4th Grade can have a blast at the Y’s Vacation Day Full Day of Fun during the school winter break. 

Beginning Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA, 1340 Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains with an Artist Studio day.  Your little artist can come and show off artistic ability and help the Y Staff make a mural or clay project or even play dough!

Tuesday, December 27, 2011 is a Science Spectacular.  This is a fun-filled day of Science.  From cooking a delicious edible science project to learning how to make a tornado in a bottle, everything will be hands on!

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 is Animal Awareness day.  Children can come and learn about animals from all over the world and enjoy a show from “Lizard Guys” with real live animals to see and touch. 

Thursday, December 29, 2011 is Wacky Wild Challenge day.  Participants get to throw a pie at a counselor and get messy while helping their team win the ultimate team challenge.  Children will participate in various team activities including gymnastics and swimming.

Friday, December 30, 2011 is a New Years Party!  Children can come and ring in the New Year at the Y!  Children will countdown to the New Year with a lunch time celebration including appetizers, apple cider toast and pizza lunch!
