The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA has been selected to offer LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a free physical activity and well-being initiative that helps cancer survivors reach their holistic health goals.
In an effort to support the new LIVESTRONG initiative at the Y, they are hosting a Zumbathon and Bike-a-Thon to benefit the LIVESTRONG program at the Y facility located at 1340 Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains on March 10, 2012 from 4 pm – 6 pm.
The Zumbathon will be held in Gym 2 from 4 pm – 6 pm and the Bike-a-Thon (Cycle portion) will be held in the Cycle Studio from 4 pm – 6 pm. There will be three Zumba classes and three Cycle classes in a row from simultaneously. Participants can pick and choose the classes they want to attend, stay for all three or come at the hour mark between 4 pm and 6 pm. Yellow Ribbons will be available for purchase to commemorate a cancer survivor in your life for $1 each. Tie your ribbon in the front of the Y. There will also be a basket raffle.

This event is open to all members and non-members. Pre-registration is going on now for this event. Cost is $10 per class when pre-register and $15 per class at the door. Proceeds will directly benefit and help sustain the LIVESTRONG Initiative at the Y.
