UNION CATHOLIC STUDENT COUNCIL ORGANIZES SUCCESSFUL FOOD DRIVE

Members of the Union Catholic High School Student Council and the Alumni Relations Office collected 30 baskets of food and 30 turkeys from fellow students, faculty and staff, and alumni during their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Student Council organized the drive within the school, collecting food by homeroom and department. At the Alumni/Development Office’s most recent alumni social gathering, food was collected to supplement the students’ baskets. The baskets and turkeys were donated to Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Scotch Plains for distribution to needy families in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Bins of “extra” collected food items were donated to IHM’s food pantry.
