Union Catholic Student Thomas Hartnett Achieves Perfect Score in SAT Writing Section
Scotch Plains, NJ—Senior Thomas (TJ) Hartnett of Clark was recognized for achieving a perfect score in the writing section of the SAT’s. Sister Percylee Hart, RSM, Principal of Union Catholic High School, commended Thomas for his outstanding achievement, which places him in the top one percent nationally.
“Writing is the most important skill you can ever have and is what sets you apart, grabs people’s attention, and gives you a sense of legitimacy and authority,” commented a spokesperson for the College Board. Businesses also want employees with polished writing skills because of society’s greater reliance on computers for communication, according to a panel of educators and business leaders commissioned by the College Board.
