Fanwood Borough Council honored the College Club of Fanwood-Scotch Plains for 80 years of service to the community at Tuesday's borough council meeting.

This year, the College Club awarded $31,500 in scholarships to young women, mostly through the sale of their calendar, which is in its 50th year.

Calendar Chairperson Mari McDevitt presented a certificate of appreciation to Larry Andrews (center), owner of Young's Paints in Fanwood, for advertising in the calendar every year since it was first published.
