Fanwoodians Gather to Clean Up Community

The annual Clean Communities event was held Saturday.

Saturday was the perfect day for Fanwood's 21st annual Earth Day Cleanup.

With the weather warm and sunny, volunteers had a perfect setting for the outdoor activity. Residents assembled at the Fanwood Train Station bright and early Saturday morning, then dispersed into several groups charged with cleaning different areas of the borough.

Residents of all ages did their part in picking up trash for a few hours that day. They then gathered back at the train station around midday to wrap up their work.
