Photos: 1500 Attend Flannery's St. Paddy's Day Festival

Fanwoodians young and old flocked to the St. Patrick's Day festival and fundraiser organized by Flannery's Pub.

Despite the chilly weather, Fanwoodians of every age were bursting with Irish cheer as families enjoyed corn beef and cabbage, several pints of Guinness, and a variety of memorable entertainment.

Inside the large white tents that blanketed the North side of the Fanwood train station, festival goers delighted in Irish dancers from the Marie Moore School of Irish Dance and a crew of bagpipers from the Saint Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band.

Escorted by Fanwood Mayor, Colleen Mahr, and Assemblywoman Linda Stender, the Grand Marshall and several representatives from this year's Union County St. Patrick's Day parade made a grand entrance, wowing the crowd with a majestic procession lead by the Gaelic pipe band.

Outside the tent, co-owners Sean Flannery and Brian Walter could not help but smile as little locals climbed trees and engaged in captivating balloon sword fights. This year’s festival may be over, but Irish pride and a neighborly vibe can always be found at .
