Thelma Southers Named Fanwood Volunteer of the Month
Southers is a 10-year member of the Fanwood Board of Health.
Thelma Southers, a 10-year member of the Fanwood Board of Health, was named August Volunteer of the Month by Mayor Colleen Mahr and Fanwood Borough Council at a recent council meeting.
Southers, a pharmacist by trade, spent many years working for the International Ladies' Garment Workes Union.
Mayor Mahr praised her dedication and work with the Board of Health, calling it one of many volunteer boards and commissions that are the backbone of the town.
