SPF UNICO Texas Hold Em Tournament, Family Fun Day at Be Craftful This Weekend

Play Hold Em' for a cause: The Scotch Plains-Fanwood chapter of UNICO will be hosting a Texas Holdem Tournament. Proceeds go towards supporting the chapters charitable efforts which include local scholarships. Information and sign-up forms can be found by visiting the events page of our website. Friday, 6:30 p.m.

Watch The Descendants at the Scotch Plains Library: On Fridays in January at 1:00pm, the Scotch Plains Public Library will show a series of films set in warm locales. Bring a snack and enjoy the show! In The Descendants (R, 115 min) Matt King is an indifferent husband and father of two girls, who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a 
boating accident off of Waikiki. The event leads to a rapprochement with 
his young daughters while Matt wrestles with a decision to sell the 
family's land handed down from Hawaiian royalty and missionaries. Based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings. Starring George Clooney, Shailene Woodley, and Amara Miller. Friday, 1 p.m.

Family Fun Day at Be Craftful: This free Saturday event features children's party performers, Sister Sing Sister String. Following the live performance at 11:30 a.m., there will be free glitter tattoos and coloring activities (to kick off our MLK day of service).
