Fanwood's downtown shopping area was jammed Thursday night as more than 250 women took advantage of bargains and chances at some great gifts during the Fanwood Business & Professional Association's (BPA) third annual Ladies' Night Out.
BPA president Jeni DiVirgilio said, "Thanks to the many women who came out to enjoy Fanwood's downtown shopping, and, thanks, too, to the Fanwood merchants who helped make it a great success." The advance registration for the evening, and the participation of the merchants, topped previous Ladies' Night Out events.
Many stores and restaurants in the downtown area offered discounts to the shoppers for the evening. Each registrant got a "goodie" bag filled with coupons for Fanwood businesses, plus tickets for a Tricky Tray drawing later in the evening for more than two dozen gifts. In addition to the tickets in the bag, shoppers got one extra ticket for every dollar they spent in Fanwood stores during the evening. (Photos by Brian Horton)
