Portusa BBQ House (Closed)
908-288-7034
What was once 503 Park Restaurant is now Portusa BBQ House. This family-owned restaurant was opened in 2009 by brothers Frank and Victor Neno to give Scotch Plains a taste of Portuguese charcoal barbecue. The portions at Portusa are enormous; if you have a smaller appetite, half orders may be the way to go. Portusa also has a kids' corner menu with mostly American fare.

Incredible portion sizes, excellent value, extraordinarily accommodating staff. I just hope that they are successful in a location that does not seem to be a good site for restaurants. A tip: ask them to dial back on the salt a bit.
