terrific place to go for ice cream. not only is the hard ice cream homemade, and the flavors are unique, but the owner is very supportive of the community often donating scoops bucks or other deals to local youth school/community programs.

I've grown up in Scotch Plains, and ever since I was a kid, I've been coming to Scoops. It's the only place I know of where you get that old-town ice cream parlor feel, and I'm pretty sure they've had the same tables and chairs since I can remember. The employees are always friendly, and the ice cream is amazing, especially for the price. I'd choose Scoops over any chain ice cream place any day.
I've been a customer of Scoops since I moved to Scotch Plains 16 years ago. Every year we celebrate our summer birthdays with a Scoops Ice Cream Cake and everyone always raves about them. I also love the fat-free sugar free options that I think taste better and have better texture than all other local ice cream/yogurt places in the area.
