Clark Mayor, Community Come to Grips With High-Profile Murder and Media Frenzy

Clark has had more than its 15 minutes of fame with three turns on the nightly news in the past 12 months.

The you-couldn't-make-this-up nature of Thursday's events has thrust the once quiet town of Clark into the media spotlight again, as the community came to grips with the arrest of alleged killer Caleb Lawrence McGillvary, aka Internet celeb "Kai the Hatchet-Wielding Hitchhiker." After a national search, McGillvary, 24, was arrested in Philadelphia on Thursday night for the murder of Starlite Drive resident and local attorney Joseph Galfy. "This many …

I do feel pity for the deceased. The ignorant, homophobic rhetoric does keep emerging when these things happen. Kai appears to be a charming sociopath and I've seen them before. Anyone who can't see it should search: "sociopathology, borderline personality disorder". It's not a long way from there to unconscionable violence, and the perp as victim is a common portrayal after the fact.   more ›

One does not just get placed in psychiatric hospitals, you have to be suicidal and homicidal. Apparently this murderer had homicidal tendencies, as has been shown by this murder.   more ›
