The Union County Division of PublicMore Works—overseen by the Engineering, Public Works & Facilities Department, directed by Joseph Graziano—is divided into four main bureaus, which conveniently reside within the same building. To more easily demonstrate how these four components within the Division of Public Works function, here's a brief, bulleted-summary of each bureau and what it does: 

  1. The Bureau of Inspections: Issues permits and performs inspections for road, curb or bridge work within County jurisdiction.
  2. The Bureau of Mosquito Control: Controls and monitors the mosquito population and assists in snow and leaf removal.
  3. The Bureau of Roads and Bridges: Maintains bridges and culverts, roads and parking facilities under County jurisdiction. Assists municipalities and County agencies with equipment and operators.
  4. The Bureau of Shade Tree and Conservation: Maintains, removes and replaces trees along County roads and assists in snow and leaf removal.
