Scotch Plains Police: Middlesex Man Arrested for Possession of Marijuana

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Milton Obano, 28, of Middlesex was arrested for Possession of Marijuana.  Officer D. Belford stopped Obano for a motor vehicle violation on Cushing Road and while speaking with him he observed Marijuana in the vehicle.  He was placed under arrest and transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

Westfield Police: Scotch Plains Man Arrested For DWI

The following information was provided by the Westfield Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following information was provided by the Westfield Police Department. March 1: A 31-year-old Scotch Plains man was arrested for DWI pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at Mountain Avenue and Bradford Avenue. He was transported to headquarters, processed and released to a sober adult.

New Providence Police: Scotch Plains Woman Attempted to Fill Fraudulent Oxycodone Prescription

The following arrest information was provided by the New Providence Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

This release was provided by the New Providence Police Department. Feb. 20, 2013: Patrolman David Rodriguez arrested Stephanie Jacobus, 26, of Scotch Plains with attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud and forgery.  The charges stem from a report from CVS Pharmacy that she was attempted to fill a fraudulent prescription for Oxycodone.  Detectives are investigating a male that was involved in this incident with Ms. Jacobus but fled the scene.  During the arrest, a warrant from Bernards Township Municipal Court was located.  Ms. Jacobus posted bail and was released with a pending court date.

Scotch Plains PD Arrest Resident For Carjacking, Aggravated Assault

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department.

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. On Saturday March 2, 2013 at approximately 11:50 a.m. , the Scotch Plains Police Department received a 911 call of a report of a carjacking that just occurred at Route 22 and Harding Road.  The arriving officers located two male victims age 50 and his son age 18, both area residents.  Investigation reveals that a suspect who was known to the pair entered the family vehicle and forced the victims out.  The suspect put the vehicle in reverse and struck both victims knocking them to the ground.  The 50 yr old male was dragged several feet before the suspect put the vehicle in drive and fled the scene.   This victim was treated and released at Overlook Hospital for…

Scotch Plains Blotter: Tires Slashed on Vehicle of Jerusalem Road Resident

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

  The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department.   February 12, 2013:  A resident of Hetfield Avenue reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief. She stated that sometime during the day unknown suspect(s) damaged the windshield wipers on her vehicle.   Feburary 13, 2013: A resident of Pine Terrace reported being a victim of Harassment.  She stated that she has been having an ongoing dispute with her neighbor who yells obscenities at her all the time.     Feburary 13, 2013: A resident of Jerusalem Road reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief.  He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) slashed the four tires to his vehicle.

  The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. February 7, 2013: Louis King, 32, of Plainfield was arrested for Obstruction of Justice. Officer Richie stopped King for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and while speaking to him King gave several names and date of births. He was placed under arrest and transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released. February 9, 2013:  Arturo Yanez, 20, of Edison was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Officer B. Belford stopped Yanez for a motor vehicle violation on Cooper Road and while speaking with him he observed the Marijuana.  He was placed under arrest and transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department.   February 3, 2013: Jake Rabadeau, 18, of Fanwood was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Officer Alvarez-Diaz stopped Rabadeau for a motor vehicle violation on South Avenue and while speaking with him he observed the Marijuana.  He was arrested and transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released. February 3, 2013: Debarass Shider, 21, of Plainfield was arrested for Possession of Marijuana.  Officer Everitt stopped Shider for a motor vehicle violation on Terrill Road and while speaking with him he observed the marijuana, after investigating further, additional marijuana was discovered.  He was arrested and transported to H.Q. where he was processed …

Theft January 25, 2013: A resident of Katherine Street reported being a victim of a Theft.  He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) stole his vehicle which was parked in the driveway. January 25, 2013: The manager of a Terrill Road restaurant reported being a victim of a Burglary.  She stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered the restaurant.  Entrance was through a rear window.  Once inside the suspect(s) removed several hundred dollars in cash. The following information was provided by the Fanwood Police Department. December 19, 2012: At 12:41 p.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop in the 300 block of Terrill Road for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of South Plainfield. The driver was arrested, processed and turned over to South Plainfield P.D. The defendant is Lakia Bryant, a 27-year-old female from Piscataway.  December 20, 2012: At 8:17 a.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop at Sheelens Crossing and South Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. January 15, 2013: James Ashe, 45, of Montclair N.J. was arrested for a $750 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court.  Officer Rites stopped Ashe for a motor vehicle violation on Park Avenue and discovered the warrant.  He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.   January 15, 2013: Jhoan Delima, 25, of Elizabeth N.J. was arrested for a $1,350 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court.  Officer B.
