The following information was provided by the Township of Scotch Plains. Update: Saturday 9:30 a.m. Storm Update: With the worst of the snow storm over, our DPW and the County DPW continue to work to clear our streets. The main County roads appear to be very clean. The Scotch Plains DPW has cleared most of the main through streets and will continue to clear the side streets throughout the day. Please help our DPW by avoiding any unnecessary travel and from parking vehicles in the street that will block their operations. Also, remember that schools should be open on Monday. Please keep our school children safe by shoveling and salting your sidewalks. Please report any downed trees or blocked roads to the Police Department at 908-322-7100. …
The Borough sent out a message that they have plowed and salted but urge residents to clear sidewalks and fire hydrants (it's the law!).

The following information was provided by the Borough of Fanwood. Update: Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ROADS PLOWED AND SALTED The Fanwood Department of Public Works was out early and often Friday, keeping on top of the snow, then worked all night to clear the roads. Driving is still dangerous, so slow it down. CLEAR SIDEWALKS, FIRE HYDRANTS It's the law--your sidewalk must be shoveled to make it safe for pedestrians. Also, please help the fire department by clearing out any fire hydrant on your property. CHECK UP ON YOUR NEIGHBORS ...especially our senior citizens. WATCH FOR ICING TONIGHT The temperature will go below freezing tonight which means the streets will freeze over. Drive carefully and beware of black ice. We hope everyone enjoys this…

The following information was provided by PSE&G in preparation for the Nor'Easter tomorrow. A blizzard warning is in effect for Union County, beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday: Additional crews and equipment on hand to restore service. As part of our ongoing efforts to keep customers informed during severe weather events, we are providing the following information: PSE&G is closely monitoring the track of the approaching nor'easter and is making emergency preparations should the storm bring heavy snow and strong winds to our service territory.
