New Providence Police: Scotch Plains Woman Attempted to Fill Fraudulent Oxycodone Prescription

The following arrest information was provided by the New Providence Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

This release was provided by the New Providence Police Department. Feb. 20, 2013: Patrolman David Rodriguez arrested Stephanie Jacobus, 26, of Scotch Plains with attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud and forgery.  The charges stem from a report from CVS Pharmacy that she was attempted to fill a fraudulent prescription for Oxycodone.  Detectives are investigating a male that was involved in this incident with Ms. Jacobus but fled the scene.  During the arrest, a warrant from Bernards Township Municipal Court was located.  Ms. Jacobus posted bail and was released with a pending court date.

  The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department.   February 13, 2013: A resident of West Broad Street reported being a victim of Fraud.  She stated that unknown suspect(s) made approximately $1,500 in purchases on her credit card without her authorization. February 13, 2013:  A resident of Birch Street  reported being a victim of a Burglary.  He stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered his vehicle. Once inside the suspect(s) removed a GPS valued at approximately $150. Entrance was gained through an unlocked door. February 13, 2013: A resident of Maple Hill Road reported being a victim of a Burglary.  He stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered his vehicle. Once inside the suspect(s) …

Fanwood Blotter: Watch Stolen From Oakwood Court Home

The following information was provided by the Fanwood police department.

The following information was provided by the Fanwood police department. A resident in the 80 block of Oakwood Court reported a watch was stolen from his residence, according to Fanwood Police. The resident stated the watch went missing between Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. and Jan. 21 at 12 a.m. It is currently unknown at this time who took the watch, according to the Fanwood Police Blotter. The watch is said to be valued at $373.

Scotch Plains Blotter: Power Cord Stolen From Park Middle Bus

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. February 6, 2013:   A custodian at Park Middle School reported a Theft at the school during the night. He stated that unknown suspect(s) removed a power cord from one of the buses. The cord is worth approximately $50.   February 6, 2013:                     A resident of Cooper Rd. reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief. She stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) damaged the light post at the end of her driveway. February 6, 2013:     A patron at a restaurant on Route 22 reported being a victim of a Theft.  He stated sometime during the night unknown suspect(s) removed money from his jacket pocket.

January 30, 2013:  The owner of a Terrill Road store reported being a victim of a Theft.  She stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) removed several pieces of furniture from in front of her store.  The furniture was valued at approximately $475. December 4, 2012: A resident of Acacia Rd. reported being a victim of Fraud.  He stated that he received a call from a store stating that unknown suspect(s) opened up a credit card in his name without his authorization.   December 5, 2012: Richard Nix, age 23 of Scotch Plains was arrested for a $189 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court.  Officer Luciano stopped Nix for a motor vehicle violation on Front St. and discovered the warrant.  He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.
